Inspiration: Works by Mahler and Theofanidis

"There is nothing quite like the sound of a live orchestra, and as members of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Symphony Orchesta, we look forward to sharing another unique offering of live symphonic music on Saturday, November 4th at 8PM.

Please join us for the UWSO's second (free) concert of the 2017-18 season, entitled "Inspiration." The program will open with "Dreamtime Ancestors" (2015) by Christopher Theofanidis, and will conclude with Mahler's epic "Titan" Symphony No. 1.

This program represents a dramatic undertaking for our student ensemble, and we would love to share the culminating experience of this project with our university community and our city.

Spread the word, and come early; Maestro Hutchinson will be giving a preconcert talk about the repertoire and the composers starting at 7:30.
